Pauhu

Old traditional log house originally from 1800’s with traditional rustic interior. The house was moved from the center of Ii and renovated to its current location in the 2010s. In the log sauna, you can heat water in wood-burning stove and enjoy humid baths on solid aspen benches. You have to experience this place for yourself!

Pauhu House is an excellent place to experience rural life both in summer and winter. There are sheep and chickens on the plot in the summer. The area is a good bird area and you can see white-tailed eagles almost daily. It is well suited as a day camp for various types of camps, a base for excursions or for a private retreat. Hunting, berry and mushroom fields are very close by. The place is preferably rented for a minimum of two nights. The rent includes the main building, sauna, sauna house and a large yard. There is a beach on the plot within walking distance, where you can swim.

Lots of birdlife surrounding the area. You can see white tailed eagles very often as they nest close by. Flocks of sheep work in the shore area from May until September.

Great area for berry and mushroom picking.

You can book Santa Claus visit the house with a wooden sleigh pulled by real reindeer or elves visiting the yard to excite children on Christmas time.
